love the concept of this song. this video is the first video that i’ve seen in a while that actually personifies the lyrics of the song. watch below.

It’s a wonderful day in music… : Beyonce, Dom Kennedy, Big Sean & Curren$y Spitta.

28 Jun

it’s very rare that we receive four albums from four amazing artists on the same day.   All of which are different in their own ways. Today is a very exciting and diverse day in music.

the first, King Bey! “4”

with production from the likes of Diplo & Switch and powerful love ballads, “4” is sure to please.  I just picked up my copy. you should too! if fighting the lines/Beyonce Stans at target isn’t for you, make sure to pick up your copy of “4” on iTunes.

next, Dom Kennedy: “From the Westside with Love II.”

first off, let me say that i just got into Dom earlier this year. He is one of the coolest cats i’ve seen come out of the West Coast.  His west coast slang and catchy lyrics are what make myself and so many other fans adore him.  i haven’t listened to FWLII all the way through quite yet, but what i have heart is magic.  you may remember a post of one of the tracks on FWLII called “Grindin.”  Dom is hungry. very talented artist to say the least!  you can pick up his album here or in iTunes.

Big Sean, boooi. “Finally Famous.”

the first time Big Sean really caught my attention was on the 2010 BET cypher with G.O.O.D Music.  i had heard of him before but never really took the time to listen.  Now he’s releasing his album with production and collabs from  Kanye West, Chris Brown and Lupe Fiasco just to name a few. Sean is lyrically ahead of his time. and this album is hittin. Sean and his team were nice enough to give us a preview of his album before buying it. listen below and make sure to download here or in iTunes.

last but certainly not least, Curren$y Spitta “Weekend at Burnie’s.”

Curren$y. he’s been in the game for a while and i am overjoyed that he is finally reciving the props and the fan base to go with it.  The rapper says that he was inspired by the 1989 film “Weekend at Burnies.” which is hilarious to say the least.  “Weekend at Burnie’s” is an amazing album. pick it up on iTunes.

well, that’s all folks. a lot of good music being released today. no free links, but you should still support good music!
